It is my pleasure to welcome you to our Circle of Friends. Since May 5, 1999, the Circle of Friends has been instrumental in supporting the intellectual and cultural resources of the Alvin Sherman Library on Nova Southeastern University’s main campus. At its core, this support has helped create a unique and distinctive cultural center for Broward County residents and the NSU community. Through initiative and creative visioning, the Circle of Friends has helped the Alvin Sherman Library in many ways:
- Supported materials for library autism program
- Launched a genealogy collection
- Expanded and enhanced our academic collections
- Funded capital expenditures
- Acquired world class artwork and glass sculptures
Our members enjoy a wide array of programs and events designed to entertain, inspire and support the world of information and education. These events range from bestselling authors, internationally renowned musicians to world leaders…and we like to hold them at our state of the art facility, one of the largest library building in the State of Florida. As a matter of fact, our concerts are held in our majestic five-story, acoustically perfect atrium at the Alvin Sherman Library!
So, come visit us and be part of our Circle of Friends. Find out how much more a library adds to your life and the Broward and Metropolitan South Florida Communities. I look forward to meeting you!
Sincerely,
Ray Ballotta - President
Circle of Friends of the Alvin Sherman Library
