Free PACE Place Seminar - Parenting & Learning Model: Understanding and Guiding Emotional Regulation
This is a FREE seminar, but space is limited. Please register online at www.PACEplace.org.
Participants will learn the AT EASE Parenting & Learning Model, which guides the parent to generate strategies and a style of engagement that leads to increased success for the child and the family. The AT EASE Parenting & Learning Model, developed by PACE Place professionals, is emerging as a cutting edge paradigm that helps parents understand the emotional forces that drive behavior. The AT EASE Parenting & Learning Model empowers parents to develop creative problem-solving strategies and a creative parenting style that leads to a higher quality of life for all members of the family. There is a focus on how to transfer the success of the professionals to the parents.
Presenter Eric Hamblen is one of the founders of Project PACE, Inc. and PACE Place in Oregon. Eric will present information on how to understand challenging behaviors through the filter of emotional regulation. This seminar will be appropriate for parents and professionals who are interacting with individuals of all ages and all skill levels with diagnoses of developmental delays that affect social learning (e.g., Autisim Spectrum Disorders, Asperger's Syndrome, ADD, ADHD, NVLD, PDD-NOS).
