Marliss Glaser Humphrey, President, IAJGS will give a talk entitled "I Couldn't Put it Down: How to Make A Coffee Table Book of Your Family History."
Ms. Humphrey will teach a simple fail-proof process to build an elegant, impactful, and interactive family history book using Adobe's Photoshop Elements. Watch as we step through the process of putting together a short-form family history book that can be printed and later easily transferred to digital format with multimedia (video and audio clips). The beautiful, large format (12x12) book will grace any coffee table and preserve your precious family memories for future generations.
Marlis Glaser Humphrey is the industry’s foremost expert on next generation family history publishing. She has applied her 20+ years experience in broadband communications and media and broadcast, technology, marketing, and strategic planning to the genealogy world. Not only a successful researcher, Marlis has approached genealogy with a unique perspective on how technology advances in multimedia applications can enrich our sharing of family history and presents and teaches her ideas and methods, inspiring genealogists" whether beginner, expert, or professional, nationally and internationally. Marlis holds a B.A. in Russian and an M.S. in Management of Technology.
Marlis is President of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies (IAJGS), Co-Chair of the IAJGS Boston 2013 Conference, and IAJGS Membership Development Committee responsible for the Southeastern U.S. Region. She is Publications and Technology Outreach Committee Chair for the Florida State Genealogical Society (FSGS) and Vice President of Programs and Publicity for the Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Orlando (JGSGO).
