Live at the Sherman Library! Bob Nathanson's Puppets to Go: Little Red Riding Hood (All Ages)
Bob Nathanson’s Puppets to Go is a full-time, professional puppet company which has been in existence since 1979. The company has performed in theaters, museums, and libraries throughout the United States and Canada. Bob received his training in puppetry at the Gramercy Puppet Theatre in New York City, and at the National Theatre of Puppet Arts in Great Neck, New York.
The European folktale Little Red Riding Hood is many centuries old and has been reinterpreted by various important writers including Charles Perrault and The Brothers Grimm. Different versions of the tale have been performed on stage and on the silver screen. In this production of Little Red Riding Hood, children will have the opportunity to see the story come to life through the ancient art of puppetry. After the performance, puppeteer Bob Nathanson will give the children a special “behind the scenes” glimpse into the world of puppetry by demonstrating how the puppets were manipulated during the show.
This program is made possible by a gift from the Charles P. Ferro Foundation.
